I recently learned that I have an allergic response to both dairy products AND gluten. I looked at many cookbooks and was very disappointed. The gluten-free recipes had dairy in them and the dairy-free recipes had gluten. Thank heaven I found Sophie Miller and her vegan cook books! The recipes are absolutely delicious and easy to prepare. And I'm learning that I can actually eat and enjoy dishes that are both gluten-free and dairy-free.

Sophie Miller has written several cookbooks and I bought them all. I have served the recipes past my family without mentioning they are "different". My family loves them! Thanks a million, Sophie! Your recipes are wonderful and they are helping me heal.

Love anything vegan gluten free .. they just need to add Soy free to the recipes .. but there were plenty of good recipes and tips.
Whether you are a die hard vegan or new to this, this recipe book is a must have, must try. It tells you why and how vegan food is totally now and then invites you in. The recipes are easy to make and leave room for adjustments to everyone's taste. The spicy sparks are a nice touch to all the colour and nutrients the recipes provide.This is definitely a book for busy but health conscious people but everyone can use it. The added bonuses and snack ideas top it all nicely up! And the storage information about left over/ fresh foods is a bonus as well.
Really good vegan recipes but I especially liked the snack ideas at the end. They were simple and easy to do. I will be trying some of those tonight!
I'm currently taking steps into the world of veganism & I am not able to eat gluten...so when I saw this book I grabbed it immediately! I've only tried a few recipes so far and they were delicious! Reading through gets me extremely excited! I've always loved vegetables and have always concocted my own things through the years...but I see such a variety of combinations here I have never tried! My mouth waters just reading the recipes! I can't wait to try them all!!
I've been using this cookbook from for at least a year. It is one of my favorite. Being vegan is hard enough but being a gluten-free vegan is hard! This cookbook is great! I love some of the popular vegan cookbooks, but there stuff can be really heavy with the ingredients. I like simple and tasty food. This book is perfect. My meat-eating family likes the food I've made from here.

It's worth the price!
I haven't used all of the recipes in here (and I might never use them all) but I think this is a good way to get familiar with the basics of gluten-free vegan cooking. There are some good ideas to get you going and spark your creativity in the kitchen. So far the Singapore Fried Noodles are a big hit, even with my teenagers. I adapted the recipe to our taste by cutting back on curry powder and increasing soy sauce. I'm in LOVE with the Creamy Avocado Carbonara recipe, as is. If you like zucchini, definitely start with that! All in all, this book has been a great help to me in building my repertoire and confidence as a gluten-free/vegan cook (and holds to its promise of dishes in under 30 minutes). Learning how to use things like "flax eggs" and cauliflower pizza crust (which I use for sandwiches as well) has been invaluable to me and I refer back to this book often. I do wish it had more photos and even some narrative for each recipe but I like how it's kept simple... Simple recipes, solid foundation at a great price.
I just received this in the mail today -- and it is going right back.
I paid $16.00-plus for a book not worth more than $5.00.

°Only 40 recipes, and most of them AREN'T main courses, in fact I would say there are only about TEN main dishes
°Page #88 surely must be a JOKE -- see picture #4 (seriously!?)
°This is more like a PAMPHLET than it is a book! Again, see picture #1
°See picture #5. Under "Praise for...blah, blah, blah, read the first line "Would recommend this book to anyone HOW is thinking about...."
I believe the word the illiterate who put this book together is looking for is WHO, not HOW
°AND, last but not least there are twelve blank pages. TWELVE!
